Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Savo (Steve) Veljaca passed away at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Lidia Veljaca. Loving father of Sophia (Nabil) Veljaca and Dan (Carla) Veljaca. Cherished grandfather of Paityn Veljaca, Avaya Veljaca, Joumana Baalbaki, and Xavier Baalbaki. Dear brother of the late Milan and Branko. Survived by his in-laws Lidia and Julio Duarte. Predeceased by his parents Pio and Sophia Veljaca. Savo worked for the City of Sarnia Public works department for 33 years. He loved fishing. Savo was a handy man in his prime. He was a jack of all trades, (master of none). He had a love of dogs, and will be missed by his current dog Mickey and is now reunited with his favorite boy, Buddy. In keeping with Steve’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Liver Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
