Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on February 6, 2026, at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Mercedes Williams passed away at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Henry Williams. Loving mother of Rosemarie Viney (George), Bridget Williams, Michael Williams and the late Christopher Williams. Cherished grandma of Justin and Matthew Viney and Stephen, Kayla, and Ryerson Williams. Treasured sister and sister-in-law of Mary Short (the late Patrick), the late Michael King (Mary) and the late Theresa MacDonald (the late Ed). Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Kathleen King. Mercedes spent her working life as an Occupational Therapist at Waterford Hospital in St. John’s, Newfoundland. When not working, and in her retirement, she enjoyed woodworking and crafts. The family would like to thank the staff at Lambton Meadowview for their exceptional care and compassion for Mercedes over the last 8 years.
A funeral service will be held at SFH – McKenzie Blundy Chapel, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation held prior from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
