The two latest break and enters occurred in the 1400 block of Cathcart Boulevard and on Stonebrook Road, in Brights Grove, in the Stoney Creek Subdivision.
These break and enters are in addition to three additional residential break and enters which are currently under investigation, and are believed to be connected.
All of the break and enters have occurred in a similar fashion. The thieves have attended these homes when the residence is unoccupied and smashed a rear window of the home to gain entry. In each instance, the homes have been ransacked looking for items of value. All of these occurrences have occurred in the North End of the city and Brights Grove.
In the earlier break and enters a black crossover-style SUV was observed acting suspiciously in the area of one of the incidents.
In the latest incident, a black sedan was observed in the area acting in a suspicious manner.
The latest break and enter on Cathcart Boulevard occurred on March 14th between 6:00pm and 9:50pm. The Sarnia Police Service is asking that residents in the area within the following geographical boundary check their security cameras. The area within Lakeshore Road (North Boundry), Modeland Road (East Boundry), Errol Road – Howard Watson Trail (South Boundry) and Murphy Road (West Boundry).
The Break and Enter on Stonebrook Road occurred on March 14th between 8:00pm and 10pm. Any residents within the Stoney Creek Subdivision are asked to check their security cameras.
