Two Sarnia Bluewater Wrestling Club athletes, Griffin Wittliff and Micah Kember, earned top-eight finishes at the Canadian Wrestling Championships in Montreal.

Two Sarnia Bluewater Wrestling Club athletes earned top-eight finishes at the Canadian Wrestling Championships in Montreal last weekend.
Griffin Wittliff competed in the 97-kilogram weight class in the under-20 division, while Micah Kember wrestled in the 55-kilogram class in the under-17 division.
Both athletes advanced to the final match on the consolation side of their brackets, placing among the top eight in the country.
Kember, an LCCVI student, showed steady growth throughout the tournament, putting together a strong performance in a series of closely contested matches.
Wittliff faced a challenging under-20 bracket that included experienced university-level wrestlers from across Canada. He also competes for the Lambton Lions collegiate wrestling squad.
Coach Henry Dickson said both wrestlers showed composure, resilience and a strong competitive presence at the national level.
The results were a strong showing for the Sarnia Bluewater Wrestling Club against some of the country’s top young wrestlers.
