The Sarnia Rapids swim team recently put in an impressive performance at the Brantford Fall Invitational, held from November 7- 9, 2025. Competing against more than 600 athletes from seven different teams, the 27 Sarnia swimmers had a standout meet.
The team earned a total of 15 podium finishes and secured 41 top-ten finishes, a testament to the swimmers’ dedication this season. The hard work translated into more than 100 personal best times achieved by the team.
Several Rapids swimmers qualified for the Regional Short Course Championships set to take place in London this February. Congratulations to those who qualified: Matteo Fanelli, Aili Girardi, Evelyn Gower, Colton Houck, Clara McGugan, and Eloise Miller.
In a special achievement for the team, Aili Girardi also secured a qualification spot for the Ontario Age Group Championships, which will be held in Toronto this March.
