Derian Hatcher and David Legwand are the new owners of the Sarnia Sting after receiving final approval from the Ontario Hockey League’s Board of Governors last week.
They take over from Rob and Larry Ciccarelli who, along with the late Shawn Burr, purchased the Newmarket Royals and relocated them to Sarnia in 1994.
Hatcher said he and Legwand are excited about the new venture and look forward to bringing a first-class product to the fans of Sarnia-Lambton.
