Help keep local journalism
part of life here.

A place to ask questions, discover your neighbours and understand the decisions shaping Sarnia–Lambton.

If the Journal helps you understand a local issue, find something worth attending or discover someone doing good work, help sustain the publication with a contribution that works for you.

Choose your contribution

A little, regularly, goes a long way.

Monthly support gives the Sarnia Journal a steadier foundation. A one-time contribution is welcome too.

All amounts are in Canadian dollars. Choose an amount that works for you.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. For help changing or cancelling monthly support, contact us.

What you help sustain

The Journal brings together local reporting, investigations, arts, sports, letters, photographs and events. Contributions help sustain the publication and the tools that keep those stories available to readers.

A place to ask questions

Public budgets, housing decisions and environmental claims deserve attention. We want a lasting place for reporting that examines records, listens to people affected and follows up.

A place to find one another

Artists, neighbours, teams and community organisers have stories worth sharing. The Journal helps their work reach people nearby.

Support comes with no editorial privileges.

A contribution does not buy favourable coverage, control over a story or protection from scrutiny. Readers are welcome to question our work whether or not they contribute.

Choose an amount you can comfortably afford. Financial support is voluntary; you can continue reading and participating without making a contribution.

Building a clearer picture of our finances

We are preparing open financial reporting so readers can see the Journal’s income and expenses. The Open books page currently contains clearly labelled examples, rather than live financial results.

There are other ways to help.

Share a useful story with a neighbour, recommend the newsletter or tell someone about our events calendar. Those introductions help local work reach the people who can use it.

Help sustain the Journal.

Local media helps a community understand itself and imagine its future.
