In the latest episode of Talk About It Tuesday, we sit down with Kathy Alexander, Executive Director of the Bluewater Health Foundation, to highlight an upcoming event that blends community comfort with essential local support.
Sunday Fun Day is scheduled for February 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. The event invites residents to embrace "cozy Sunday vibes" by wearing their favourite flannel while enjoying a variety of activities designed to foster community connection during the winter months.
Proceeds from the fundraiser are dedicated to two vital local resources:
The afternoon features a robust lineup of food and entertainment, including a DIY poutine bar, specialty sliders, and grazing boards. Attendees can also expect live music from local performers Hayden Mellon and Kalie Woodcock, along with bonfires, walking trails, and a scavenger hunt.
Tickets for the event are $60, which includes a meal and entry for various prizes. Alexander emphasizes that these funds stay directly in Sarnia-Lambton to support survivors and maintain specialized care services that the community relies on.
Those interested in attending can find tickets and further details through Revelree.
