Sarnia’s Andrew Davies, 15, teamed up with 16-year-old Griffin Allen of Petrolia to capture the men’s championship at the Sam Kromer Flight Doubles Tennis Tournament held in Port Huron on July 9-10.
The junior players went undefeated in the round robin to advance to the finals at Sanborn Park, where they defeated a pair from Fort Gratior 6-2, 6-3 to take the match.
It was the second Sam Kromer title this summer for Davies, who also won the Men’s Singles Championship Flight in June.
