Sarnia’s Brett Dewhirst earned top marks at the International Knife Throwing Hall of Fame World Cup in Austin, Texas.
The 23-year-old thrower won gold and silver cups in knife and axe throwing, and a 1st in long-distance knife throwing at the 48-competitor meet Oct. 26-29.
Dewhirst was also inducted into the IKTHOF hall of fame, and became just the third person in league history to earn the designation of Master Axe Thrower.
