Peacefully, at Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia, at the age of 88. Ann was the loving wife of the late James (Jim) McArthur (October 2020). Loving mother and best friend to Susan (Doug) Wellington and older sister to Gail (Stewart) Snider. Sister-in-law to Sandy and the late Donald McArthur (2024). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ann is predeceased by her parents Leslie and Margaret Pentland and by her older sister Wilma Charlton (2004).
Ann lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed playing bridge with her many bridge groups and loved to dance the night away. Her love of travel took her and Jim to many different countries, many of which included cruises with their friends. Another of Ann’s loves was their cottage on Lake Huron that her and Jim built from the ground up. Above all else, she loved the time spent with her family. Sue and Doug would like to thank the staff at the Village on the St. Clair during her brief stay there along with the staff at Bluewater Health. Most of all, a huge thank you to the entire staff at Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia. Not only did they take care of Ann, they took care of Sue and made her feel like family.
There will be no service at this time. Expressions of sympathy can be made by donations to the Lambton Meadowview Villa Auxiliary (lambtoncares.ca) or the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please). Cremation has taken place.
