Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Bluewater Health, Auke Zylstra passed away at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Denise Zylstra. Loving father of Tina (Rudy) Huisman, Connie Zylstra, and Lorraine (Ken) Colborne. Cherished Papa of grandsons Kyle (Britney) Huisman, Travis Huisman, and Zac Colborne. Loving brother of Betty (Peter) Verdun, Mickey (Larry) Turley, Brian (Brenda), Wybe (Annette), Case (Irene), Herb (Barb), and Gary (Nicole), and brother-in-law to Roger Chiasson, Rolly (Lucy), Claude (Patty), and Anne (Randy) Reid. Predeceased by his father Herbert Zysltra, and his mother Magcheltje Zysltra, sister-in-law Nancy Chiasson, and brother-in-law Mark Leonard. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Christian Reformed Church, 5834 Blackwell Sd. Rd., Sarnia, on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Noelle’s Gift or the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
