Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Genowefa “Gina” Kaczorowski passed away at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Peter Kaczorowski. Loving mother of Ted (Kerry) Zalewski and John Zalewski. Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Robert, Abigail, and Edward Zalewski. Treasured sister of Janina Koziol and aunt to many nieces and nephews in Canada and Poland. Dear Godmother to Teresa Judson and Teresa Reid and Andrew Koziol. Predeceased by her first husband, Frank Zalewski, her parents Andrej and Stefania, her sisters Stefania Król and Marianna Senyk, and her brother Andrew Widz.
Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the rosary being said at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Queen of Peace Church, 566 Rosedale Ave., Sarnia, on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
