On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Barclay Jamieson passed away peacefully at home into the loving arms of his Saviour at the age of 74. He will be loving remembered by his wife Melaine Jamieson, his children Trevor (Stefany) Jamieson and Meghan (Jacob) Jamieson; grandchildren Jude, Sarah, Brandon and Taylor; brothers Egan (Jackie) Jamieson and Shawn Jamieson; sisters Leslie (Brian) Jamieson-Pigden and Christina (Paul) Vail; sister-in-law Debbie (Lloyd) Davidson; as well several nieces and nephews. Barclay was predeceased by his precious son Brandon Jamieson, brother Fergus Jamieson and parents Donald and Jean Jamieson. Barclay was a proud employee of Dow Chemical for 33 years. His greatest joy in life was his family. He was married to the love of his life, Melanie, for 50 years. He considered the greatest accomplishment of his life to be his much-loved children, Brandon, Trevor and Meghan. His grandchildren brought special joy to his life. Their Gramp/Pa will be sadly missed. At regular family meals Barclay would quote Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord”.
The family would like to thank those who helped so much over these past several months: his brothers Shawn and Egan, his nurse Mandy and Dr. Crombeen.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with family and friends being received one hour prior from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
