Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Bluewater Health, Michelle Lynn Gibbs passed away at the age of 38. Beloved daughter of Marianne Gibbs (nee Jolly) and Tim (Irene) Gibbs. Loving sister of Melanie (Tim) Allen. Treasured aunt of Mazlynn and Nathaniel. Cherished granddaughter of Edith Ann and the late Doug Jolly and the late Lou Gibbs. She will be missed by her aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michelle graduated from Lambton College as a Social Service Worker and Bluewater School of Hair Design as a licensed hair stylist. Following a difficult diagnosis and losing her vision, Michelle displayed tremendous perseverance and courage, building a beautiful life and facing every obstacle with grace.
She volunteered weekly at Fairwinds Lodge where she enjoyed spending time and playing games with the residents. Michelle loved to get together with her family playing cards, games, and going to concerts. She loved anything Harry Potter and Disney related. In her spare time, Michelle enjoyed listening to music and audio books, watching movies, knitting, and bowling with the White Cane Bowlers. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. Michelle will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to LHSC and Bluewater Health (cheques only at the funeral home please).
