Mr Duncan Thomas Hockin, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born in Chatham and was a son of the late William Clifford and Evelyn (Austin) Hockin. Beloved husband of the late Colleen (O'Flynn) Hockin (2016). Loving father of Kristin (Joey) Pearson and Tim (Jillian) Hockin. Cherished grandfather of Catherine, Adam, Anthony, Andrew, Ashlyn, Riley, and Liam. Kind brother of Austin (the late Gayle) Hockin and the late Kathleen (John) Emery (1967). Also survived by 5 nephews, many cousins, family and friends.
Duncan had a way about him that touched the lives of anyone he met. He spent many years coaching both hockey and baseball in the Wallaceburg community and was proud to bring home Ontario Championships. He played old timer hockey with the Wallaceburg Hornets and would often talk of the friendships he made during those wonderful years.
The late Duncan Hockin is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
