With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Phyllis Marie Heuvelmans (nee Babcock) surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 20th, 2025 at the age of 84. Phyllis will be missed deeply by her beloved husband and best friend Chris Heuvelmans and by her children Carolyn Daly (Ron Aarts), Suzanne ‘Sue’ Konc (Jim), Rich (Nicole) Daly and the late Scott Daly (2004) (Jennifer Hill surviving), John Heuvelmans, Tim Heuvelmans, Michelle Heuvelmans and Stacey Heuvelmans (Chris Wolfe). Phyllis was a devoted and very proud grandmother of Chase Konc (Hope), Drew Konc (Sam Beauvies), Tyler Daly (Rachel), Allyson Daly (Paul Jones), Darren Heuvelmans (Sheena), Jenna Heuvelmans, Christian Heuvelmans, Jamie-Lyn Lubbers (Jordan) and great-grandmother of Peyton, Bryson, Ashton, Tayson, Charlotte, Liam, Braylee, Nixon, Lennox and Lawson. Daughter of the late Wesley and Edith (Kearney) Babcock and dear sister of Pat Babcock (Bonnie) and the late John ‘Jack’ and June Babcock.
She will be missed dearly by the many who knew her within the Community especially the congregation at Dresden Community Church where she was an active member for many years.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Her funeral service will be celebrated at Dresden Community Church (29043 Community Rd, Dresden) on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11am. She will be laid to rest with her family at the Dresden Cemetery. If you wish to make a donation in her memory, please consider The Chatham-Kent Hospice or the Dresden Community Church in lieu of sending flowers.
