Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Elizabeth Anne Robertson passed away at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Richard “Bill” Robertson for 61 years. Loving mother of Jeff (Shelley) Robertson and Aaron Robertson. Cherished grandmother of Emily Robertson. Dear sister of Sandra (Jack) Shaw (née Murray), and sister-in-law of Art George and Wendy Murray. Elizabeth will be missed by her nieces, nephews, friends and grand-dog Lou. Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Elva Murray, mother-in-law Mary Johnston, sister Jean George, brother David Murray, and friends Ray and Maureen McQuin. Elizabeth was a preschool teacher in Wyoming, and will be remembered by many as “Miss Lizzy”. She was a drummer and played in the Lionettes and the Marching Angels. Elizabeth was deeply devoted to her family, and treasured every moment spent with them. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes, a private burial of ashes will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Sarnia. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton or a charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
