Surrounded by her loving family, it is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Gail Welsh (nee Robinson) who left us on August 1, 2024 after a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Gail will be remembered for her strength, warmth and dedication to her family. She enjoyed watching her children and then grandchildren participate in their many activities, she had a love for all the family pets and was very talented at cross stitch. Gail is survived by her loving husband and best friend for 62 years Gary, and their children Brian (Cate) and Paula. Nanni treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren Jeremy, Quinn (Dakota), Hyatt (Aven) and Andy. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and their families. We know Gail will find comfort in those who predeceased her parents Harold and Ethel Robinson, Gary’s parents May and Andy Welsh, her brother Brian Robinson, as well as several other family members and friends. Special thank you to the wonderful staff and caregivers at Trillium Villa for their compassion and care during Gail’s stay. The family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. A private family burial will take place at a later time. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia Lambton or the charity of your choice (cheques only when donating at the funeral home please).
