Gwen Klatt of the host Sarnia Lawn Bowling Club filled in after a player on the women’s team from Burlington became ill and couldn’t continue.

Klatt helped the team win two games and advance to the gold medal final, where they lost to a team from Niagara on the Lake.

Pickering won the men’s division.

A total of 32 teams from across the province, including two from Sarnia, competed in the tournament.

The participants and guests enjoyed the weekend and were very impressed by the city and the hospitality extended, said club president Dave Moffitt.
