The London-based developer wants to build a commercial plaza at the intersection of Michigan Avenue, along with a 33-unit retirement home and 64 homes.
Council nixed the bid on May 25 following strong opposition from residents and city hall staff because it’s inconsistent with the city and county’s Official Plans.
Sifton had already appealed Sarnia’s new Official Plan to the OMB.
