Since October 7, 2023, Palestine has been plagued with immense death and destruction, becoming an abyss of human suffering. The armed conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip has taken a devastating toll.
According to data compiled from sources including Al Jazeera and Wikipedia, the total number of deaths since the conflict's escalation is staggering. As of September 17, 2025, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported 65,062 people killed, including 19,424 children, with 165,697 injured since March 18. This is part of a larger casualty count that includes over 14,222 people missing and presumed dead. Comparatively, 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the initial Hamas-led attack. A study by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) found that 70% of Palestinians killed in residential buildings were women and children. Among the dead are also 180 journalists, 120 academics, and over 224 humanitarian aid workers, including 179 employees of the UNRWA.

Newborns, Infants, children, aged mothers and fathers, All around lie severed hands, legs, heads which, often dust have gathered. Ego and power are such unfathomable traits, my Lord, That they compel mankind to kill, massacre and spread discord.
Those who are dead will never ever return to this earth, Although their pallbearers, rest assured, will surely curse. O Allah! shower your benevolence on the innocent, May they be doomed who plunder, kill & behead humans.
