World Champion and Olympic gold medalist Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser spent the day in Sarnia Thursday, from skating with players with the Sarnia Jr. Lady Sting, to meeting with staff at Bluewater Health.

Wickenheiser, who is currently serving as assistant general manager of player development for the Toronto Maple Leafs, while also completing her medical residency, was in town for the Bluewater Health Foundation’s 2023 Gala held at the Badger Hangar at the Chris Hadfield Airport.
She spoke to a sold out crowd at the event, with funds raised going towards major renovations to the hospital’s cancer clinic.
