Sarnia-Lambton MP Marilyn Gladu’s palliative care bill has passed with unanimous support in the House of Commons.

The bill, C-277, will guide the development of a framework for Palliative Care in Canada, and will define services, required training, and measures to ensure access to palliative care across the country.

The bill, which is currently awaiting review by the health committee, has garnered endorsements from more than 50 national stakeholder organizations including the Canadian Medical Association and Canadian Nurses Association.
