A new pathologist is joining the medical staff at Bluewater Health. Dr. Shahid Malik has been a pathologist at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital since 2003 and was Chief of Laboratory Medicine at Cape Breton’s district health authority.

Dr. Shahid Malik has been a pathologist at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital since 2003 and was Chief of Laboratory Medicine at Cape Breton’s district health authority.
He became a doctor in Pakistan and received his pathology training in New York.
Malik will be a welcome addition to the laboratory medicine department at Bluewater Health where he will use lab tests to diagnose and treat disease, said Dr. Mark Taylor, Chief of Professional Staff.
