Patients at Bluewater Health can now use ConnectMyHealth to access their lab results, diagnostic reports, and hospital records through a secure online portal.
Patients at Bluewater Health can now access their hospital records online through ConnectMyHealth, a digital health portal available across southwestern Ontario.
As of May 10, Bluewater Health data is live on the platform, which allows patients aged 16 and older to view personal health records from multiple hospitals in the Ontario Health West Region. The update was announced by the Sarnia-Lambton Ontario Health Team (OHT).
ConnectMyHealth is free to use and includes information from hospitals across the region — spanning Waterloo to Windsor and Tobermory to Niagara Falls. With the addition of Bluewater Health, local patients can now access a range of records including lab results, diagnostic imaging reports and images, cardiology files, discharge summaries, medications, microbiology and pathology results, and hospital visits.
Historical data from Bluewater Health is available starting November 3, 2024. New records are added in real time.
“Following Bluewater Health’s implementation of their new Hospital Information System, we are thrilled that patients can now view their information in the same place as other hospital records across the region,” said Nadine Neve, Executive Lead of the Sarnia-Lambton OHT. “This helps support seamless care, informed decision-making, and more empowered patients.”
Patients are advised that some test results may appear in the portal before being reviewed by their care provider. Users are encouraged to speak with their healthcare professionals to interpret any results and ask questions.
The platform recently introduced a record-sharing feature that allows patients to securely share their records with up to 10 other registered users, such as family members or caregivers. Patients control what is shared and for how long.
ConnectMyHealth is operated by Hamilton Health Sciences and supported by Ontario Health, in partnership with the Sarnia-Lambton Ontario Health Team. The portal meets Ontario’s health privacy standards and uses the same level of encryption as online banking.
Patients can register online at info.connectmyhealth.ca to start viewing their records from Bluewater Health and other hospitals in the region.
