For the first time in its history, the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park has leased all 9,000-square feet of its laboratory space.
Research various tenants are working on includes biofuels, biomaterials, natural health products, advanced manufacturing and prototyping, waste recovery and water purification, said executive director Katherine Albion.
“To have all the laboratory space at the Research Park occupied shows the how much the research field is growing in Lambton County, and how the demand for research space is increasing.”
Each suite includes laboratory and office space, furniture, fumehoods, and services designed specifically for the activities being conducted.
The Research Park was created in November 2003 with the inception of the County of Lambton Community Development Corporation, owned by the Lambton County.
In addition to the labs, Nova Chemicals, Enbridge, Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership and other high profile tenants call the park home.
