A local delegation is currently in Taipei, Taiwan representing Sarnia-Lambton at an international competition of ‘Intelligent Communities’ in the broadband economy.

A local delegation is currently in Taipei, Taiwan representing Sarnia-Lambton at an international competition of ‘Intelligent Communities’ in the broadband economy.

Sarnia-Lambton is one of the 21 finalists from eight countries selected from a pool of nearly 400 communities worldwide.

The finalists were picked for their ability to offer broadband Internet access, a knowledgeable workforce, innovation, digital equality, sustainability and advocacy.

The top seven communities are being selected this week, with the winner of the Intelligent Community of the Year announced in New York in June.
