TOPS convention coming to town

Local hotels are expecting a busy weekend.

About 1,100 delegates are converging on Sarnia for the Ontario convention of the weight loss support group TOPS.

The three-day event at the RBC Centre starts June 4 and includes live music, a fashion parade, speakers and the crowning of the new “King and Queen” of weight loss.

“It’s a fun weekend,” said Betty Percival, a Sarnia-based Ontario co-ordinator.

“Every year we take the convention to different cities, and this year it’s our turn.”
