Sarnia Library will be closed from Nov. 8-14 while electrical and parking lot upgrades are completed.

The temporary closure will impact staff and patrons at the library and adjacent Sarnia Children’s Library, as well as the Library Theatre and Bookmobile.

A fire forced the main branch to shut down for five weeks this summer but not all the work could be finished then, said Vince Wijsman, Sarnia’s property manager.

“The required equipment and contractors are now available and we are in a position to complete the outstanding work.”

Due dates for borrowed materials are being extended, and the facility is to reopen on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
