Suddenly at his home, on Monday, January 22, 2024, Ted Banninga passed away at the age of 65. Loving father of Nicholas (Deanna) Banninga and Kris (Amanda) Banninga. Cherished grandfather of Colrick, Brett, Hallie, Jaymee, and Skottie. Dear brother of Martin (Sheila), Margriet (Tom), Laura (Greg), and David (Helen). Longtime friend of Deb Guindon and best friend of Jay Hodgkin. Will be missed by his cat Stinky. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Gerdy Banninga. Ted enjoyed football, hockey, and going for bridge fries with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
