On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Bear Creek Terrace in Petrolia, Arlene Mae Casier (nee Lowrie) slipped away peacefully to reunite with the love of her life, Albert. Arlene was a loving mother to Julie and Bill Fairbairn, Janis and Joe Kerrigan, and Alan and Kim Casier. Proud Gramma/Nana to Michael and Cassie Fairbairn, Jacqueline Fairbairn and Craig Wheeler, Kristin Fairbairn-Tulloch and Craig Tulloch, Karla Kerrigan and Harry Wenban, Grant Kerrigan and Chelsea Bechard, Ian Kerrigan and Stephanie Sugiyama, Adam and Bailee Casier, and Meagan and Taylor Oke. She was proud to be a Great-Gramma/Nana to Abby and Andie Fairbairn, Ruby Fairbairn-Tulloch, Peyton Wheeler, Mason and Maverick Casier, and Mallory Oke, and new grandbaby Oke due in November. Loving sister to Ray and Bonnie Lowrie and Nancy and Larry McAuley. Predeceased by her husband, Albert Casier of Camlachie, father and mother Clayton and Margaret Lowrie of Camlachie, father-in-law and mother-in-law Cyriel and Amanda Casier of Belgium/Camlachie, sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Dave Shepherd of Forest, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Peter Miller of Wallaceburg. Arlene was raised and lived in the village of Camlachie where she and Al owned and operated Camlachie Grain and Feed, raised their family, and contributed to their community. Arlene cultivated a wonderful community of friends over her 84 years, and we are so grateful that she got to enjoy their visits right up to her last days. She was a gifted singer and seamstress and a dedicated community volunteer for many years with the Huron Shores Optimists. She also leaves behind many new friendships over the last several years at the Royaleigh in Wyoming and Bear Creek Terrace in Petrolia. Prior to her death, Arlene made a generous gift to fund upgrades at the Camlachie Ball Diamonds, a life-long source of pride and passion for her and Al. The family would like to thank Bear Creek Terrace and their amazing staff for their dedication and compassion in making Arlene’s last weeks comfortable and surrounded by love. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, September 29 from 2:00-5:00 pm at the Camlachie Community Centre with remarks at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital Foundation (www.ceehf.ca) or local charity of choice in Arlene’s memory. WE WILL MISS THAT BEAUTIFUL SMILE!
