Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Bluewater Health, Peter Glenn Coltart passed away at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Elaine Coltart. Loving father of the late Glenn, Cynthia (John) Armitage, and Graham (Amy) Coltart. Cherished grandfather of Jake, Tyler, and Mackenzie Armitage, and Henry Coltart, and great-grandfather of Scottie Armitage (Jake and Ashley) and Frankie Armitage (Tyler and Rachel). Dear brother of Jane Hooey and the late Betsy Christian. Peter was a graduate of Queen’s University as a Mechanical Engineer. He also earned his MBA from York University, all while working and raising a young family. He was a hard worker and dedicated to his studies, but he always made sure that Sundays were spent with his family. Peter enjoyed his trips to Florida with his wife during the winter months, enjoyed golfing, and watching NASCAR. Above all, he loved spending time with family and friends. The family wishes to thank the extraordinary care given by the cognitive nurses at Bluewater Health. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Peter’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice or The Alzheimer’s Society (cheques only when donating at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
