Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Bluewater Health, Lynwood Reginald Cottrelle passed away at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Verna Cottrelle (nee Plain). Loving father of Kyle Cottrelle, Ellise (Lee McManus) Cottrelle, and spiritual child Gavin Gray. Cherished grandfather of Gavin, Athena, Delsyn, Quade, Nicholas, and Michelle. Treasured son of Lyman Cottrelle. Dear brother of Brenda (Barry) Cottrelle, William George and brother-in-law of Allen (Muriel) Plain, Terry (Donna) Plain, Ronald (Beth) Delaughter, and Edna Cottrelle. Predeceased by his mother Darlene Cottrelle (nee Smith), brother William Cottrelle, and sister-in-law Diane Love. Lynwood had a strong work ethic and had a successful career as draftsman for many years. Pub was a professional musician, specializing in Country and Western drumming. He was a member of a band and spent many years playing with Terry Plain, Charles Rogers, Duke Maness, and Allen and Cheryl Kirky. For many years, Pub enjoyed camping with his wife at Cape Corker and more recently in Kettle Point. As a young man, he registered to serve in the forces. Sadly, due to a childhood accident, he was dismissed. Though forever saddened by this outcome, Pub became a military enthusiast continuing to learn about the forces through movies, conversation, and by owning many pieces of uniforms and medals. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends will be received at Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre, 1972 Virgil Ave, Aamjiwnaang-Sarnia, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Aamjiwnaang Cemetery.
