At Bluewater Health on Sunday, October 11, 2026, Suzana died peacefully with family by her side at the age of 57. Beloved daughter of the late Armando (2011) and Rufina (2018). Loving sister of Maria (Colin) Fairbairn, the late Helder Dias (2016) and Fatima (Manuel) Mendonca. Proud aunt of Niel Fairbairn (Jess), Trevor Dias (Kelli) and Nicholas Dias (Erika), Cassandra Michetti (Ryan), Amanda Johnson (Dave), Justine Petronski (Tate) and Ryan Mendonca (Marie); and great aunt of Hudson and Landon Michetti, Madden, Hadley and Lane Johnson, Ivy, Eli, and Violet Petronski, Sadie and Isabella Mendonca, Hazel Dias, Mavrick and Mia Dias. Suzana is loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family in Portugal.

Suzana was a cherished member of Community Living where she formed meaningful lifelong friends and family who loved her dearly. Three days a week, she looked forward to participating in activities along side her friends. She had a special connection with nature and enjoyed sitting and enjoying all that nature had to offer, especially the birds. One of Suzanas favourite past times was spending time with her mother, tending to the gardens together.

Family and friends will be received at SFH- McKenzie Blundy Chapel, 431 Christina Street N., Sarnia, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 293 Stuart St., Sarnia on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Community Living Sarnia-Lambton (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
