Peacefully with loving family and friends by her side on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Afton Park Place, Serena Nellie Gibson passed away at the age of 90. Born May 9, 1935, in The Pas, Manitoba, Serena resided in Sarnia most of her life. Survived by her son David Dukelow (Clare), sister Irma Reese, nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Peter Ferrari and Ann Fucile. Serena was well known by many as a successful entrepreneur was owner/operator of Serena’s Imports for close to 40 years. She loved her business and worked hard. Many know Serena though her joy of pleasing clients and friends with her one-of-a-kind imported clothing lines. If one was to ask Serena what she believed in and practiced, she would reply, “Live by honesty and cherish friendship.” She enjoyed watching the sunrise and set from her balcony garden in downtown Sarnia overlooking the river. Cremation has taken place. A private family celebration will take place at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the ALS Society of Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
