Peacefully, surrounded by love, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Bluewater Health (Petrolia), Robert “Rob” Duncan Klompstra passed away at the age of 49. Rob is the son of Bob Klompstra (Kathy) of Port Lambton and the Late Rosiland Klompstra. Beloved husband and best friend of Caley Evans. Loving and proud father of Libby and Graeme. Brother to Valerie Kings (Daryl), Dan Klompstra (Katryna), Jessica Marr (Curtis Peats) and Stephanie Wilkinson (Corey). Son-in-law of Brendan Evans and Sharon Wright-Evans of Komoka. Brother-in-law of Ainsley Pottruff (Jim) and Shannon Evans-Wybo (Jeff). Rob was a favourite uncle, cousin and nephew to the extended Klompstra/Castaldi/Evans/Wright families. A lifelong resident of Port Lambton, he enjoyed nothing more than spending a day on the St. Clair River or watching the ships sail by with his family on the dock. Rob was a man of integrity and compassion who was always quick to help a friend in need. He will be remembered for having a heart filled with love for his family and his friends alike. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
