Suddenly in his family home in Varna, Ontario, Thomas McVeeney passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2024 in his 65th year.
Beloved son of Maura McVeeney of Ailsa Craig. Loving father of Amanda (Matt) Walton of Lucknow, Mike (Shawna) of Exeter and Steve (Micheal) of London. Proud papa of Brent, Riley, Matthew, Chloe, Johnny, Gilbert, Alexis, Austin, Fleet, Gus, Mason, Lacey, Tyson and Madalyn. Great grandfather to Amelia. Loving brother and brother-in-law to Jennie (Bob), Maura (Paul), Jim (Jean), Dave(Gayle), Paul (Tammie) and Patty (Steve). Caring uncle to many. Predeceased by his father James McVeeney and his brother Martin McVeeney.
Tom's love in life was his children, grandchildren and his Dogs; Dutchess and Buck. Tom found joy in the simple things in life he was always there for anyone who needed him. He was a proud father and even prouder Papa. He loved to watch his grandchildren grow, be present in their lives and spend anytime he could with them. He was a man with a tough exterior but a heart of gold. Tom was there for so many offering advice or just an ear to listen if you needed it.
Anyone that knew him loved him and anyone that loved him was blessed to know him. Tom is missed by so many and thought of often.
Visitation will be held at Gilpin Funeral Chapel located in Parkhill, 183 Broad Street Parkhill, ON N0M 2K0 on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass that will be conducted at Sacred Heart Church, 159 Ann St, Parkhill, ON N0M 2K0, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
