Henri passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospice on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 69 years to Yvette Gamache. Dear father of the late Marcel, Jean-Guy (Louise) (Sarnia, ON), Ginette Charette (Kirk) (Sarnia, ON), Ghislain (Vianne) (Sarnia, ON), Sylvie Desveaux (Dave) (Sarnia, ON), Serge (Wendy) (Hamilton, ON), and Johanne Burd (Brad) (Sarnia, ON). Loving grandfather to Linda, Rachelle (Jason), Marc (Lisa), Nancy (Brad), Danielle (Ben), Renée (Shawn), Julie (Adam), Christine (Chad), Michelle (Cory), Cory, Marcel (Nicole), Luc (Sydney), Jacques, Ted (Darlene), Katherine (Larry), and Joey (Krista). and great-grandfather to 26 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jean-Marie. Also surviving are several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edmond and Demerise Morin, brothers Paul, Wilfrid (Jeannine), Gerard, and sister Annette (Raymond). Henri worked in the Noranda Mines for 19 years, then moved to Sarnia where he worked in construction. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, playing bocci ball, hunting, doing puzzles, building sail boats and bird houses. He loved playing cards with family and friends. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 1256. On Sunday, he enjoyed being part of St. Thomas D’Aquin Church choir. He devoted his life to his family. He will be sadly missed but will live in our hearts forever. Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas D’Aquin Church, 895 Champlain Road in Sarnia on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:00 am followed by a lunch in the adjoining hall. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery with his son Marcel.
