On September 8, 2026, surrounded by love, Janice Margaret Mudt passed away peacefully at the age of 77.

Janice will be remembered for her warm spirit, kind heart, and gentle nature. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, often gifting her handmade creations to those she loved. Janice also had a special place in her heart for her cats and dogs, who brought her many years of comfort and companionship.

The beach was always a special place for Janice. Her love for it began as a young child at Wasaga Beach while spending summers at her grandfather’s farm near Elmvale. As a young woman, she lived for nine years in Daytona Beach, later enjoyed visits to Ocracoke Island, North Carolina, where she reconnected with a former coworker from her Daytona days, and eventually found peace and tranquility along the beautiful shores of Lake Huron.

Janice was the beloved wife of Dale for 45 wonderful years. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and close friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Bluewater Health, Lambton EMS, and their friends for the compassion, care, and support shown during this difficult time.

A private family gathering will be held.
