Peacefully, in her 96th year, Frances Irene Nixon (née Williams) passed away at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Beloved wife of the late John “Nick” Nixon. Loving mother of the late John “Milk” Nixon, Kathy (Richard) Brennan and Cindy (Glenn) Tremain. Cherished grandmother to Michael (Jessica McPherson), Kevin (Nikky) and Jason (Nikki) Tremain. Treasured great-grandmother to Ryenna, River, Spencer, Vann, Emma, Mitchell and Caleb.

Frances’ family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers at the VON Day Program and Trillium Villa for their compassion and support.

A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with family and friends being received one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the VON Day Program (cheques only at the funeral home please).
