With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Karen Kim Patoine, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Bluewater Health, at the age of 67. Beloved wife of Paul Patoine for 48 years. Loving mother of Michael (Cassandra) Patoine. Cherished sister of Mark Anderson, Tootsie McDuff, Faye Audet, Ross Anderson and their spouses, and sister-in-law of Stan Patoine, Claire Larocque, Denise Kennedy, and Fran Donnelly and their spouses. Karen will be missed by her extended family and friends.
Karen enjoyed many hobbies including: puzzles, reading, tending to her flowers, and travelling- a joy she shared with her sister Tootsie. She was renowned by friends and family alike for her baking, which was amazing. Karen and Paul moved “down south” from Northern Ontario in recent years and enjoyed the beautiful warm weather and beaches of Lake Huron together.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Alzheimer’s Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only at the funeral home please).
