It is with great sadness that the family of Richard “Rick” Phibbs announce his passing, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the age of 71. Beloved brother of Sandy (Terry) Button. Loving uncle of Jamie, Kevin, Craig, Lorna and Christine. Long-time friend of Dan Chawyk. Predeceased by his parents, Ron and Darlene Phibbs, and by his siblings Mark Phibbs and Cathy Silverthorn. Rick loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed painting and sketching in nature. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Hemophilia Ontario at Donations – Hemophilia Ontario (cheques only at the funeral home, please).

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice or a cancer support organization would be appreciated.
