Gisela Irmgard Robinson passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, Ontario. Born in Württemberg, Germany, Gisela immigrated to Canada in 1954 with her siblings: Elli Boggs (2018) Ingrid (Roger) Sarnia and Joe (Marilyn) Pfaefflin Calgary. She was the beloved daughter of Otto and Dr. Rotraut Pfaefflin.
Gisela attended Viscount Bennett High School in Calgary and later earned her CMA designation from the University of Calgary. While there, she met her husband, Robert "Bob" Robinson (2021). Together, they built a life filled with adventure, love and laughter. After living and working in Vancouver for a short time, Gisela and Bob moved back to Calgary and built their cherished home in Rocky Ridge. There she hosted lively gatherings and hand-fed the local deer.
She and Bob then moved to Sarnia, where she worked as an accountant with Woods and Company for many years before retiring. Gisela loved her home near the lake, her loyal cats (Tiger, K2, and Kitty), playing bridge and sharing wine and good times with friends and family. Gisela had a passion for travel, exploring the world in style, and shared many memorable journeys with Roger and Ingrid. She was also an avid fan of Patsy Cline and cherished the community she found at The Bicycle Shop.
Above all, Gisela was devoted to her family. She adored her niece, Janessa, nephew, Dax, his wife Elyse, and her great-nieces, Charley and Paige of Toronto. Gisela's kindness, strength, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to can be made to the Humane Society of Sarnia (cheques only at the funeral home please).
