It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Nigel Savage announce his passing on July 24th, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Hospice at the age of 77.
Husband of Nel Savage for 29 years. Father of Stacy Lott (Jeff), Sally Wilson ( Aaron) and Charlie Savage (Tawny). Grandfather of Mallory, Kylie, Cassidy, Morgan, Max, Tate, Colt and Everly. Great-grandfather of Grant. Paul is the son of Nigel and Phyllis Savage (Burton). He is the youngest son of eight children and was raised in Wallaceburg, ON.
Paul was employed in the Oil and Gas industry and travelled throughout Canada and abroad, making many friends along the way. His peers respected him for his mentorship, approachable manner and conflict resolution in the workplace.
Paul was a kind, generous soul who always thought of others before himself. He loved making people laugh and considered himself the funniest person in any room. He was a lover of cars and he often and unfortunately bought many “lemons” (even if they were brand new). He loved to sing and was quick to offer a hot or cold beverage to his guests.
The family would like to acknowledge the excellent and compassionate care Paul received from Bluewater Health, Community Paramedics, his home care workers, Dr. Kim and the staff and volunteers of St. Joseph’s Hospice.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held on Sunday, August 10th, 2025 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Sarnia Legion.
