Our loving mother Cathy left us at the age of 77 surrounded by her loving daughters & devoted sister Pat. Cathy fought a strong battle with Alzheimer’s Disease for many years. Loving mother of Liz D’Arcy, Sue (Steve) Andrews, Maureen (Rob) Leckie, Chris (Barry) Porter, & Paula Cox. Cherished grandmother of Jordon, Kevin (Kelsey), Carter, Jess, Kobe (Jadyn), Noah & Rachel. Adored great grandmother of Oliver, Zephyrin, & Juniper. Survived by sister Georgina Chute & Pat (Rick) Bowen. Predeceased by her parents George & Annie Stevenson, & brother Cal & Joyce Stevenson. Sadly missed by several nieces & nephews.
Cathy was a devoted mother & grandmother and her family was her world. This was never more evident than when she graciously took her daughters on a once in a lifetime vacation to Aruba upon being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Cathy retired after many years of dedicated hard work at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Bluewater Health. She would strike up a conversation with everyone she met & had a smile that would light up a room. Cathy will be missed by so many family & friends.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with family and friends being received one hour prior from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
