The Irish Miracle Student Organizing Committee at St. Patrick's High School is preparing a high-energy pep rally on Friday, November 28, at 1:00 PM to encourage students to sign up for the 42nd annual Irish Miracle food drive.

The rally is designed to be a high-energy affair with plenty of variety to get the student body excited and informed about the initiative. Highlights will include a performance by the school's dance team and a "can collecting" themed game run by the Student Council. The Student Council will also perform humorous door skits to teach students about the proper procedures for collecting food items. The organizing committee will act as emcees, providing all the necessary information about the Irish Miracle, including its purpose, the beneficiaries, and how students can sign up to participate on the day. A major feature of the rally will be a food competition where blindfolded students and potentially some teachers will be fed mystery foods from cans and jars, with the goal of guessing the item—the "grosser the better".

This entire effort serves as a fun way to raise awareness and boost sign-ups for the Irish Miracle.

Cyndi Rayson, a Grade 10 student who has been on the organizing committee for two years, shared her perspective on the event:

"Irish Miracle is an incredibly meaningful event because we get to help people in our own city who might be struggling, and we really get to see first hand how much our community cares for each other. Being a part of something bigger than yourself feels really good and it makes me feel proud to be a St Pat's student. This event reminds me of the true good in our community, and is something that I’ll carry with me long after graduation.”
