Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, Muriel Yvonne Taylor (n. Black) passed away at the age of 94. Predeceased by her husband Robert Taylor (1999) and daughters Carol Tetreault (1950) and Diane Tetreault (2010). Beloved mother of Deborah (Jim) Blair and Stephanie (Joe) Thompson and step-mother of Ron (Nancy) Taylor, Gary (Carol) Taylor and Jeff (Shelly) Taylor. Cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. Dear sister of Gordon (Cora) Black, Eric (Lois) Black, Roberta (John) Bearup and the late James Black. Remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Muriel worked at NOVA Chemicals in the Accounting Department as a payroll clerk. She was also a former member of the Eastern Star and of the Petrolia Lions. Muriel also volunteered her time with the Wyoming Fair Board, the Wyoming Legion, and Sarnia Rebound.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home – London Line Chapel, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
