To The Editor,

People of Gaza need all the support that we can give them as we watch the famine caused by Israel, how the parents are watching their babies die due to hunger and thirst, how even children are going to the animal pen like distribution centers operated by the US and Israel named: Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. The former GHF contractor, US army veteran Anthony Aguilar, has come forth with firsthand account of what he calls "barbaric and un-American tactics used at these sites against unarmed starving Palestinians." He has told the account of a 10-year-old boy Amir, who was killed by the IDF right after he was able to collect some scraps in the name of aid. His body has disappeared without a trace, and no one is able to find him!

In an interview, describing the "pens," he said, "The sites were designed as death traps. All four distribution locations were deliberately constructed, planned and built in the middle of an active combat zone." "The roads leading in and out are barricaded by razor wire, which the Geneva Convention prohibits." "They are designed to maim and kill, and we are using that to channelize and herd thousands of unarmed starving civilians, that's a war crime." "The equipment that we are issued, fully automatic weapons, we were issued NA 55 green tipped ammunition, is a steel jacketed copper round, specifically designed to penetrate armour, it's designed to kill, it's designed to shoot through reinforced objects to kill someone on the other side of it…..why would anyone need that?"    July 29th,  Democracy Now

Now let's look at Canada's role in all this: "We have just uncovered hundreds of shipments of weapons from Canada to Israel, exposing Canadian military exports to Israel."    armaembargonow.ca/report   July 29th, 2025.

Ashraf Hussain wrote on July 30th, 2025. "I returned from the aid center. I only received one kilo of chickpeas. The situation is very, very difficult. There was intense shooting at us. Very large number of martyrs and injuries." He also wrote: "This Gaza salad with cheese and vegetables before war did not cost more than $4 US, now it costs more than $80 US." "Chicken is not available at all, and if it is, it will cost $250." "A kebab meal used to cost only $40 US and its cost was distributed among 4 people, each person only $10. Now it costs more than $300 and is also completely unavailable." Remembering the better days, he said: "Today in my heart, I found old photos from the past, from my university days and my beautiful memories, as well as my days working in the hospital and some of the foods that my friends and I used to make before war, which we are completely deprived of."
