The town born from the 2001 amalgamation of Plympton Township and the Village of Wyoming is marking the milestone with rides, live music, fireworks, and a free community celebration.

Plympton-Wyoming is turning 25, and the town is throwing itself a party.
The municipality is hosting a free community celebration on Friday, June 13, at the Wyoming Fairgrounds at 595 Main Street. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and the night runs until 10:00 p.m., capping off with fireworks at dusk.
The town was created in 2001 when the Township of Plympton and the formerly independent Village of Wyoming amalgamated. A quarter century later, the community is marking the occasion with an evening built around family fun, local music, and a look back at how far the town has come.
An opening ceremony at the main stage kicks things off at 4:45 p.m., celebrating the present while recognizing the past. From there, the fairgrounds fill out with a full slate of activities, including a variety of rides, tethered balloon rides courtesy of The Reid Team of RE/MAX, a dog agility demonstration, Broadway Express train rides, free balloon twisting, and free face painting, most running from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. A refreshment tent with food options will be open from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Live music runs through the evening. Jamlachie takes the stage from 5:45 to 7:30 p.m., followed by Brothers Wilde from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. Brothers Wilde come in with back-to-back regional recognition, having been named London Songwriter of the Year for 2025 and London Country Artist of the Year for 2024.
Fireworks, supported financially by TD and Enbridge, are scheduled for approximately 9:45 p.m.
Organizers are reminding attendees that on-site parking is limited to designated areas only, with no exceptions. A bus will run continuously from the Legion parking lot from 4:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. for those who need accessible transportation.
The event is hosted by the Town of Plympton-Wyoming alongside local community organizations and sponsored by a broad group of local and regional businesses.
